Welcome to Vindhav. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vindhav website, products, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

## 1. About Vindhav

## 2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must be at least **18 years old** and able to enter into a legally binding contract. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

When you create a Vessel Dashboard account, you agree to:

### Pricing and Errors

Title and risk of loss transfer to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged after delivery to the shipping address you provided.
### Shipping Address
You are responsible for the accuracy of your shipping address. Orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by you may incur additional charges to reroute or reship.
### Hazmat and Restricted Items
Some items (lithium batteries, fuel-system chemicals, etc.) are classified as hazardous materials and have shipping restrictions:
- May only ship via ground carriers
- Cannot ship to PO boxes or international destinations in some cases
- May require additional handling fees

## 6. Returns and Refunds

- **45-day** return window from delivery date
- **20% restocking fee** on all eligible returns (waived for damaged/defective/incorrect items)
- Customer pays return shipping (label provided by us, deducted from refund)

### Not Professional Engineering Advice
Our tools are **not a substitute for**:
- A qualified marine electrician or marine surveyor
- Manufacturer-specific installation manuals
- ABYC, ISO, or local marine electrical standards
- Professional engineering review for your specific vessel
You are responsible for ensuring any system you build complies with applicable safety standards and is installed by a qualified professional.
### Vessel Specifications
Stock vessel specifications shown in the planner (battery sizes, solar capacity, alternator output, etc.) are based on typical configurations and may not match your specific vessel. Always verify specifications with your boat builder, surveyor, or owner's manuals.
### Maintenance Schedules
Maintenance intervals and recommendations in the Vessel Dashboard are general guidelines based on industry norms. Always follow the **manufacturer's specific maintenance schedule** for each piece of equipment, and consult your local marine service professional.

## 8. Installation
Vindhav products are sold as components. Unless we have explicitly agreed to provide installation services in writing:
- **You are responsible for proper installation**, ideally by a qualified marine electrician
- Improper installation can damage equipment, void warranties, and create safety hazards
- We are not liable for damage, injury, or loss caused by improper installation, modification, or use of our products

## 9. Warranties
### Manufacturer Warranties
Products we sell are covered by their respective manufacturer's warranties. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer. We will assist you in initiating a manufacturer warranty claim, but the warranty itself is between you and the manufacturer.
### Disclaimer
**Except as expressly provided in a manufacturer's warranty, all products are sold "as is" and "as available."** To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vindhav disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

## 10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Vindhav's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Services is **limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim**.
- We are **not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages**, including lost profits, lost data, lost vessel use, towing costs, lodging during a refit, or any damages arising from improper installation or use of our products.
- We are not liable for damages caused by acts of nature, weather events, vessel grounding, collision, fire, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
